L-lysine is an essential amino acid that is transported across membranes via a cationic amino acid transporter system. This allows it to compete with l-arginine for absorption and cellular uptake. In vitro evidence suggests that vitamin E synergizes with l-lysine by supporting healthy protein kinase C activity.

Lemon balm extract provides complementary support for natural defenses with immune support from its phenolic compounds. Metafolin® L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate (L-5-MTHF) is the naturally occurring, metabolically active form of folate, an essential B vitamin that helps maintain healthy immune cell populations.
